In an effort to engage students and reinforce key cybersecurity concepts we have developed a Capture the Flag Game (CTF). The CTF gamifies cyber education and provides a fun way for security professionals and students to connect around cybersecurity. Students will be asked to answer a wide range of challenges, many of which are designed to teach analytical thinking skills, team work and creativity.

Domain Spoof Test
Are you aware that one of the first things hackers try is to see if they can spoof the email address of someone in your own domain? Now they can launch a “CEO fraud” spear phishing attack on your organization, and that type of attack is very hard to defend against, unless your users are highly ‘security awareness’ trained. KnowBe4 can help you find out if this is the case with our Domain Spoof Test.

Email Exposure Check Pro
Find out your current email attack surface now with KnowBe4’s Email Exposure Check Pro (EEC). EEC Pro identifies your at-risk users by crawling business social media information and now also thousands of new breach databases to help you find even more of your users’ compromised accounts that have been exposed in the most recent data breaches – fast.Find out now: https://info.knowbe4.com/email-exposure-check-pro-chn-2021
Weak Password Test
Verizon’s Data Breach Report showed that 81% of hacking-related breaches used either stolen and/or weak passwords.KnowBe4’s Weak Password Test checks your Active Directory for 10 different types of weak password related threats and reports any fails so that you can take action. This will take you 5 minutes and may give you some insights you never expected!

Domain Doppelgänger
Since look-alike domains are a dangerous vector for phishing and other social engineering attacks, it’s a top priority that you monitor for potentially harmful domains that can spoof your domain. Our Domain Doppelgänger tool makes it easy for you to identify your potential “evil domain twins” and combines the search, discovery, reporting, and risk indicators, so you can take action now.

Title: Better security using the technologies you already own

Time: Friday Oct 2nd –  Alan 1:15-2 CT

Who: Alan McClure, Senior Systems Engineer, vArmour

Session Description:

Application Relationship Management is an approach organizations around the world are using to reduce risk and increase resiliency by understanding applications and their relationships and dependencies within and across heterogeneous environments. By leveraging existing technologies—cloud, SDN, endpoint protection platforms, CMDBs, vulnerability management, and more—this approach helps organizations get more value out of the technology investments they’ve already made. In this session, Senior Systems Engineer, Alan McClure, will walk through real world customer environments, and how Application Relationship Management was deployed to help these customers achieve enterprise-wide visibility and protection.
