Parady Boatwright is the CEO of Wheatfield Partners; her life story and career path is untraditional. Born in Paris, France of Cambodian and Chinese parents who were refugees from the Pol Pot War, Boatwright was raised by a retired couple on a farm surrounded by wheat fields and corn fields. After the passing of her adoptive French mother, Boatwright’s adoptive father sent her to finish high school in St Louis, Missouri.
She received a scholarship from Drake University to pursue of degree in Journalism in Mass Communication in Public Relations with a minor in International Relations.
Boatwright’s passion led her first consulting role to be French Translator for the purchase of Canadian Beech Aircraft. From that first assignment Boatwright decided that consulting was going to be her career. In 2013 Boatwright was hired as consultant for a Compliance & Audit project for a large mortgage company. There she handled confidential information in working with executives in training heads of various business units.
A year later she was hired to work in recruiting and found her dream company and locally owned women owned boutique consulting firm in Des Moines Iowa where she served as the recruiting manager, successfully placed IT candidates in both permanent and consulting roles. In 2016 the owners decided to sell, Boatwright found herself remapping her career and life strategy. On November 11th 2018 Boatwright founded Wheatfield Partners. Her career challenges and commitment to career and work life balance success have given her unique insights to understand what candidates are going though in pursuit of that “right” job.
Parady understands what employers are looking for in candidates and helps employers find, not just a new employee, but a long term match.
